To guide members on creating strong passwords, updating them regularly, and keeping their Monivest accounts secure.

Overview
A strong password is the first line of defense for your Monivest account. Updating it regularly and following best practices ensures your wallet, savings, loans, and project funds remain secure.

1️⃣ Accessing Password Settings

• Go to [Profile → https://app.monivest.ng/user/profile/index/profile]

• Click Change Password or Update Security Settings

2️⃣ Creating a Strong Password

• Use at least 8 characters, combining:

  • Uppercase letters

  • Lowercase letters

  • Numbers

  • Special characters (e.g., !, @, #, $)

• Avoid easy-to-guess passwords like birthdays, names, or repetitive numbers

3️⃣ Updating Your Password

• Enter your current password

• Enter a new, strong password following the above rules

• Confirm the new password and click Save Changes

• Password changes are effective immediately

4️⃣ Security Recommendations

• Do not share your password with anyone, including friends or cooperative members

• Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) for extra protection (if available)

• Avoid using the same password across multiple platforms

5️⃣ Pro Tips

• Update your password every 90 days to maintain security

• Use a password manager to safely store and manage credentials

• Monitor login notifications for any unusual activity
